With the advent of the autumn season, the wild colours of The Cosms and The Sirui Lily Flower have become ethnic. The beauty of thousands of colourful Kasams flowers brings down the chest of this ukhrul and senapati district to a wonderful vision of heaven. Every year from June to November, there is a wonderful gathering of blooming coloured cosmus flowers in Langdong and Namai Jho villages. Tourists from all over the country and abroad who call their hands and bowls Nature lovers.
Local tourists are currently flowing to this village of Naga in Manipur to enjoy the beauty of this wild flower. Especially this monsoon cosmus flower that blooms in October-November is a multiyear plant in a family of sunflower species. The Assamese flower blooms across the hilly valley of Manipur in October-November .Locals believe that the Wild Cosmos flower found in Mexico was brought as food by the Spanish to the Asian continent. A flower show called ‘Home to Cosmus’ was held in Purul village under the initiative of manipur government to enjoy the beauty of wild flowers. This slit lily flower is especially seen at the top of Mount Kasung and in Namni village of Ukhrul district. The main feature of this serui lily flower is that it cannot be produced even if taken care of but it grows in the hilly dry areas. It may be recalled that in 1946, Kingdon Ward, an English fan from the New York Botanical Society, discovered this serui lily flower when he came to Manipur. The serui lily flower known as monsoon flower is generally light pink but has seven colours. Wild Cosmos and Shirui Lily Phule provide Manipur with other beauty of nature.
