Fire in hospital, hotel: Hundreds of children saved from fire

was burnt in a fire in the AMCH paediatric department in Dibrugarh. Hundreds of children in the hospital survived the massive fire. The fire triggered by a short circuit was extinguished under the supervision of the fire brigade.

Epin also burnt four business establishments in Amingaon ChariAli in north Guwahati in a devastating fire. Several commercial cylinders were exploded in the fire. More than 10 goats and more than 50 chickens were gutted in the incident. Amingaon Chaudhary Hotel was set on fire.
Locals suspect the fire to have started due to short circuit. Completely gutted Chaudhary Hotel, Akhtar Meat Shop and two other shops. The fire was doused by fire tenders. The fire has consumed goods worth around Rs 15 lakh.
