Deadly road accident in Karimganj: 9 death on the spot

A fatal road accident took place at Vaithakhal in Karimganj today. Nine people were killed and several others injured on the spot in a head-on collision between autorickshaws and trucks.

Several injured in the accident on Assam-Tripura National Highway 8 were admitted to the hospital. The agitated people blocked the highway after the tragic road accident took place in Vaithakhal area under Patharkandi police station.

The number of the truck that caused the incident is ML/01/Q/0088 and the number of the auto is reported to be AS/10/AC/5782.
