5 illegal cow smugglers arrested, two cars seized…
Nagaon police have arrested five persons for their alleged involvement in illegal cow trafficking. Police seized a truck, a CAR numberAS 23C 0978, a MARUTI car numbered AS02AD 6155 from the custody of illegal cattle suppliers. Along with Rs 37,000 in cash, 25 cows were recovered from the custody of the gang.
The rescued cows are worth around Rs 20 lakh. The arrested persons are Amjad Ali of Barpeta, Sofikul Ali of Rupahihat, Muksedul Rahman, Aminul Hussain, Gulzar Hussain. Additional Superintendent of Police, Nagaon Dhruv Barai raided the hideout and nabbed the team from Serraguri in Nagaon district.
