Pakistan’s dream is broken! Australia, who won by 5 wickets, will play the final with Newzeland
No Asian country will be seen in the T20 World Cup final. Australia beat Pakistan by 5 wickets in the second semifinal. Batting first, Pakistan set a target of 177 against Australia as Australia achieved the target by losing five wickets in 19 overs.
Pakistan naturally suffered as the team beat Pakistan this time as in the semi-finals of the 2010 T20 World Cup. Looking at the performance of the game it was assumed that Pakistan could make this World Cup their own. But that didn’t happen. The dream was broken by Pakistan as well. Pakistan scored 177 runs with the help of Babar Azam’s 39, Rijwan’s 67, Fakhar Azam’s 55, but Australia’s Matthew Wadde’s 41 and Marcus Stoinis’s 40 helped Australia to victory.
David Warner contributed 49, March 28 for Australia after Finch was dismissed for a duck. Starc took 2 wickets and Cummins, Zampa took one wicket each for Australia. Pakistan’s Afridi on the other hand took one wicket and Sahadab Khan took 4 wickets each. Pakistan’s batting and bowling showed hope in the match but Australia’s Wad and Stoinis turned that hope into disappointment.
