Famous historian, writer Babasaheb Purandare passed away on Monday morning. Babasaheb Purandar, who was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, passed away at the age of 99. The famous historian has been undergoing treatment at Mangeshkar Hospital in Maharashtra for a long time. Babasaheb Purandare breathed his last at the hospital on Monday at 5 am. His last rites will be performed with full royal dignity. Thousands of devotees thronged the house on the news of his demise. Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourns the loss of his son. “I am shocked to learn of his death. His death has caused a great deal of damage to the world of history and culture,” she said. His intelligence and wisdom will inspire future generations. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav also expressed his condolences on the demise of Babasaheb Purandare.
