5 Special Honours ʼতুমি মালালাʼ Assamese Films at International Festival

The artistic film directed by Roopak Gogoi and produced by Dr Sanjeev Narayan has brought good news to the Assamese film industry amidst the covid environment ʼতুমি মালালাʼ Selected for 7 International Film Festivals held this year You won 5 Festivals in Malala.

You won the Malala Best Producer Award at the Gangtok International Film Festival and also won the Katha Shitan award. The film also won a special performance award for narrative stories at the Epine Druk International Festival.

DIFT, Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival of Boston-21 and Indo French International Film festival-21 won performance awards. Epin was specially honoured with ‘তুমি মালালাʼ at the 15th International China India Children’s Film Festival held in India from November 9-14 and was presented with the honour of best actress. In Anpin, Eurasia International Monthly Film festival-21 won you Malala.

The film starred Anshruta Kashyap (Moonmoon) and Harshita Bhattacharya as the best actresses for their stellar performances. ʼতুমি মালালাʼ Anshrutia Kashyap manages to win the hearts of the film lovers with Amina’s character and Harshita Bhattacharya playing nadia.

The film’s success is very happy with producer Dr. Sanjiv Narayan, director Roopak Gogoi as well as every person who is closely involved in the film.
It may be recalled that the film is about the situation in assam NRC, the dreams, hopes and struggles of life of two adolescent girls on the right to women’s education. The film is written by Abhisheka Phukan. Chief co-director Kushal Gogoi, art director Dipankar Das and production manager Anant Bora. The decorations are being helmed by Mandira Gogoi and the decorations are from Dipali Sharma Barad. The film is shot by Nagen Vaishya.

The film stars Anshruta Kashyap aka Moonmoon and Harshita Bhattacharya in the lead two teenage roles. Another lead role in the film is bengali and malayalam actress Neena Chakraborty. Other characters include Louis Parashar Hazarika, Pankhi Kashyap, Saju Ahmed, Jatindra Khanikar, Pinky Pathak, Swapna Das etc.
