Breaks idol of Hindu deity! Police launch massive operation to nab miscreants
Tension soared again in West Bengal. Once again, a miscreant ransacked the idols of Hindu gods and goddesses and hurt people of Hinduism. Police have launched a massive operation to nab the miscreants. Tension prevailed across the region since the incident in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Idols of Hindu gods and goddesses prepared for the upcoming Rasa festival are demolished and crushed by miscreants.
Superintendent of Police Jobi Thomas said locals had reported the demolition of the idols. Police then reached the spot and removed the broken idols and started investigating the incident. No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident. West Bengal police are investigating the entire matter.
Police said, “If anyone is convicted, we will take legal action. Police said the situation is under complete control. No untoward incident has been reported so far. It may be recalled that during durga puja last October also reports of miscreants breaking idols in West Bengal as well as Bangladesh came to light
