Shore bookies with cash seized at Jorshimuli’s Achalpara

Police conducted a drive on Friday evening from Achalpara market under Jorshimuli police station in Kamrup district and managed to nab the two bookies of Tirkhel along with cash. Navjit Deka, officer-in-charge of Jorshimuli police station, reportedly raided Achalpara on the basis of a tip-off and order from Kapil Pathak, police officer-in-charge of Chhagaon police station.

In the police operation, Hyder Ali of Achalpara, Mosharf Hussain of Barakhat were caught hand-in-hand and managed to recover a mobile handset, some cash and goods used in the shore game from the duo. The two arrested shore bookies were reportedly being taken to Chhagaon police station.
