Fatal road accident on Tinsukia-Makum road, two killed including young woman

Two persons including a young woman were killed in a fatal road accident on Tinsukia-Makum road in the early hours of Sunday. Two riders of the motorcycle were killed when a speeding truck rammed a motorcycle from behind. The road accident near Thermal Gate on Makum Road was reported to have hit the as23 9446 speeding truck coming from Makum towards Tinsukia from the rear on a glamour motorcycle number AS23Q 4151 coming from the same direction.

As a result, motorcycle rider Mamni Chaudhary (26) was killed on the spot. The other seriously injured rider Biman Chakraborty (36) was rushed to Tinsukia Civil Hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctor. Tinsukia police reached the spot and rescued the slain girl and sent her for postmortem and seized the truck that caused the accident.

Police sources said the house of the slain girl is in Lanka in Hojai district. On the other hand, the house of the slain Biman Chakraborty is in Lumding. They both came to attend a prewedding function at the relative’s house in Sripuria in Tinsukia. Meanwhile on Sunday the two went on motorcycles to visit ‘Shivdham’ on Makum Road. And the accident took place on the return road.
