The Uttam Yuddha Seva Medal has been presented to Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita. President Ram Nath Kovind presented the honour to Assam child Rana Pratap Kalita. It may be recalled that earlier he had received a very distinguished service medal and a distinguished service medal.
Rana Pratap Kalita’s house in Rangiya, which is serving in the Indian Army. He is currently the GOC of Base-3 Corps at Dimapur in Nagaland. It may be recalled that the honour was announced earlier but the award was delayed due to the covid situation.
