Not going back home anymore! A biker killed in a truck collision on the National Highway in Gosaigaon

The national highway has become a deadly trap. Pedestrians or motorists have been injured or killed in road accidents on national highways almost every day. Road accidents have occurred frequently as construction work on the forlaned national highway is in limbo.

Conscious circles have also claimed that accidents have been frequent lying around as there are no proper plans to prevent accidents. One person died in an accident on Harafuta National Highway in Gosaigaon at 11am on Friday. A man collided head-on with a truck while he was on his way home on a bike from Gosaigaon. The biker was killed on the spot.

The deceased was reportedly Pratap Singh Basumtari (54) of Gosaigaon police station in Gosaigaon village number 1. The man’s bike lost control and got under the truck while trying to cross haraputa road while taking his own AS16G-4605 bike from Gosaigaon to his home.
