General elections to the Post Graduate Students’ Association of Guwahati University on November 30
A bright atmosphere has recently begun on the university campus focusing on the general elections of the Postgraduate Students Association of the traditional Guwahati University. The election wind has touched the students of the university. It may be mentioned that the general elections to the Postgraduate Students’ Association will be held on November 30. A total of 34 students will contest the 2020-21 elections of the Postgraduate Students Association this afternoon. Heman Kalita, Hemang Nath and Suman Sharma for the post of president, Avijit Saikia, Navdeep Bargohai, Priya Dutta and Sajina Yasmin as general secretaries for the post of vice president as per the list officially released by the election officials in this regard. Vicky Sharma, Jitu Kalita and Rajdeep Baruah, Manisha Deka, Nitumani Kumar and Rashmi Kalita for the post of Assistant General Secretary, Gyanpratim Devsharma and Pankaj Neog for the post of Literary Editor, Ananya Mahanta, Devashish Varman and the aspirant Kalita for the post of music editor, Alankrita Mahanta and Disha Sharma for the post of Cultural Secretary, Vasvati Devi and Manisha Bora for the post of Debate and Seminar, Vikram Hazarika and Nitamani Kakati for the post of Secretary, Department of Light Sports, General Sports Ganesh Baro and Rakesh Vaishya for the post of Department, Abid Arman Tapadar and Khanjan Phukan for the post of Student Rest Room Secretary, Moon Mallick and Saheli Darfang for the post of Student Rest Room Secretary, Pallava Hazarika and Rohit Basumtari as secretary of the department of body care as well as Vishuv Medhi for the post of secretary of social services department and Preeti Kalita is in the fray. It may be recalled that Khouramdao Basumtari, who has held the post of Guru Sports Department, has been elected unopposed.
