In Manipur, a large number of weapons including three UNLF militants seized

Manipur’s Thoubal police raided East Imphal on Sunday and managed to seize a large number of weapons including three formidable cadres of the banned rebel outfit UNLF.

It is learnt that on a tip-off, a police team led by Thoubal Superintendent of Police Yogesh Chandra Haubijam conducted a raid on Heikap Abang Lekai in Thoubal district. The cadre named Tompak was arrested and 13 AK 56 rifles, one AK 81 one AK 86, two M16 machine guns and two hundred rounds of live bullets were recovered from them.

Police launched a raid soon after receiving information about the huge weaponbeing secretly supplied by a UNLF member. Prafulla Singh was interrogated by the police and managed to seize the weapon.
