Jorhat murder: CM orders immediate punishment for convicts…
Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has ordered immediate punishment for the culprits of Animesh Bhuyan who was killed in the Jorhat murder. The chief minister has ordered punishment for the culprits in the case through a fast track court. He has also ordered filing of chargesheet against the culprits within a month.
Police officer GP Singh will personally oversee the investigation into the incident. Chief minister Dr Sharma has also ordered payment of cheque stake of Rs 5 lakh to the family of slain Animesh Bhuyan.
It may be recalled that on Monday, November 29, 2021, 50 senior people died and killed the student leader in the heart of Jorhat city. Police arrested four persons in connection with the incident.
