Good news for the people of the entire state. Dr Bhupen Hazarika Cemetery to be reopened for refugees from today.
Chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma had directed the chief secretary of the state to make arrangements for the early reopening of the cemetery at Jalukbari on November 20 under a directive
The directive was given by a student of Guwahati University only after a newspaper article came to the notice of the chief minister
It may be recalled that the cemetery had been closed for more than a year and a half due to the corona situation.
