Wild elephant rampage on Assam-Arunachal border in Narayanpur
Wild elephant rampage at Dorpang on Assam Arunachal border of Narayanpur in Lakhimpur district. For the last three days, a wild elephant has srowsed the people of several villages including Barnaharani, Balipukhuri and Dorapang under narayanpur revenue circle. People in the area have been guarding the area since early morning due to fear of elephants but the herd of elephants coming down from the hills to the public due to lack of food has damaged the fields and broken the storehouse of a few tigers and consumed paddy.
The forest department has been informed but the public has alleged no importance. The herd of elephants is currently stuck in the middle of a hub. Forest officials have arrived recently but no action has been taken to chase down the herd of elephants.
