ULFA cadre detained in Jagun

An ULFA independent cadre detained from the border area of Jagun in Tinsukia district. On Tuesday evening, Assam Rifles, 19, based in Jayarampur, Arunachal Pradesh, was able to arrest an ULFA independent member after conducting an anti-militant operation in the Tinkupani reserve forest on the Assam Arunachal border. The detained member is Named Girindra Setia (38) alias Pavitra Assam. The house is reportedly in Jenni village under Bordubi police station in Tinsukia. A 9mm pistol, 3 jai active bullet was recovered from the detained member.

Assam Rifles handed over the detained member to Jagun police today. Police continue to interrogate ULFA members to get more information
