Beware Assam! Jawad is coming

Jawad is coming. Jawad is a sea storm. The sea storm will flow at a speed of 110 kmph. The Jawad sea cyclone originating in the Bay of Bengal will also have an impact in Assam. Heavy rain is likely to lashed Assam as well as various parts of the northeast till December 7. There is a risk of heavy rain in Assam and northeast due to the storm. Scientists believe that Visakhapatnam, Srikulam, Balasore, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Bhadrak, Balasore etc. will be the worst affected by storm Jawad at a speed of 110 km. Train alert issued in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh for Jawad. The Meteorological Agency has warned tourists not to go into the deep sea after fishing in the sea by next Monday. 12th International Bali Festival cancelled due to sea storm in Orissa.

The Odisha government has decided to postpone the 12th International Bali Kala Mahotsav in view of the threat of Cyclone Jawad. The festival was scheduled to be held near the famous Konark temple. The Indian Railways has cancelled 75 train journeys. It may be recalled that most of the cyclones formed in the Bay of Bengal hit Odisha, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. The Navy has been used to move the residents living along the sea in these states to safer places in war time preparations.
