Raktim Barua’s body found in Dhansiri’s chest three days later
The body of NRL engineer Raktim Baruah who was found missing in Dhanshiri’s chest at Thuramukh in Golaghat was recovered three days later. The body of Raktim Baruah was recovered by a local boatman. Raktim Baruah drowned while playing with his children after coming for a picnic with his family. SDRF and NDRF were not able to rescue Raktim Baruah by conducting raids.
The body of the man recovered at Hansra, about two and a half kilometres from the spot. Locals noticed barua bodies while they were in the water and immediately informed the police.
It may be recalled that the SDRF forces had been conducting operations since the untoward incident in the late sunday evening. NDRF forces also arrived on Tuesday and carried out the operation.
