Two injured, including young woman, in a leopard attack in Mariani

Two persons including a young woman were injured in a tiger attack in Naksari Tiruwal under the Mariani regional forest officer’s office in the wee days on Thursday. Rijumani Gogoi and Sanjeev Nayak were injured in the tiger attack. Panic was created in the area when a tiger roaming in a small tea garden of a tea farmer named Bubul Gogoi of Tiruwal attacked tea workers.

Rijumani Gogoi The tiger attacked Rijumnik when he left home to see the tiger roaming in the garden. On the other hand, a man named Sanjeevnayak attacked the tiger while it was on its way to chase it. Rujumani Gogoi who was seriously injured later was treated at Naschari Adarsh Hospital. Forest department personnel arrived and tried to tranquilise the tiger but were not able to.
