Tragic road accident on night in Sirang

A man was killed in a tragic road accident at Bhumkipara in Bijni in Sirang district on Sunday night. The person killed in the accident has been identified as Mantu Rai (45), a resident and affordable shopkeeper from Abadipara in Bijni. It was reported that Last night, Mantu Rai lost control while going through his AS 26D 4612 registration number scooty and was seriously injured when he was hit by an electric pole on his roadside.

Locals later rescued Mantu Rai in a critical condition and admitted him to The Vetagaon Community Health Centre but doctors on duty declared Mantu Rai dead. The tragic road accident took place last night while coming from Bijni town to its home. The sudden death of Mantu Rai has cast a shadow over the area.
