Burmese cigarette worth a large quantity seized at Lailapur in Kasar: One arrested…

Burmese cigarette smuggling is currently continuing in Barak following Burmese supari and mosquito drugs. Some smugglers use Kasar district as a safe corridor to steal Burmese, The moch’s coil has now started a romantic business of Burmese cigarettes manufactured in Myanmar in the dark of the night. The information came to light after a truck was raided on Wednesday night on the basis of intelligence inputs and the Lylapur police along the Mizoram border seized a large quantity of Burmese cigarettes.

8 cartons of Burmese cigarettes were seized from the truck number AS11CC 1388 while being supplied from Aizawl to Silchar. The cigarette was seized as it was brought without any valid documents. Meanwhile, police also arrested the truck driver of Kanakpur in Silchar named Noor. Police have said the cigarette is estimated to cost several rupees.
Meanwhile police have launched an investigation to find out for which trader shilchar the cigarette was brought for.
