Myanmar mine accident: 1 killed, 25 injured, more than 70 missing…

Mishap in Manmar. More than 70 missing workers as a result of mine collapse. 1 worker has lost their lives in the incident and more than 25 injured have been admitted to the hospital so far. A 200 rescue team has reached the accident site and launched a search for the missing persons.

A member of the rescue team said the Hapkant mine in Kachin state collapsed around 4am. Around 70 to 100 people are feared missing. Heavy rains in July last year caused a mine in Kachin state to collapse. About 300 people lost their lives that time.
