Assam: 17-Year-Old Commits Suicide After Boyfriend Rejects Her Marriage Proposal

A17-year-old minor girl has committed suicide as her lover rejected her marriage proposal here in Goroimari area of South Kamrup.

Reportedly, her lover named Baharul Islam was in a relationship with her for the past three years.

According to reports, the girl, who was in 9th standard asked Islam to marry her which he denied and besides this, he also wanted to end their relationship following which the girl ended her life.

After the incident, the family of the girl filed an FIR against Islam and three other persons.

Reports, further said that the Baharul Islam has been arrested by the police.
