Woman Police Official Allegedly Found Drunk During Duty Hours In Assam’s Naharkatia

In a major embarrassment for the Assam police which has taken strict measures against drunk driving, a drunken woman lady cop was spotted during duty hours in Naharkatia, Dibrugarh.

According to reports, the lady police discharged her duty after consuming liquor. She was spotted in an inebriated state in front of the establishment of the Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate Court, Naharkatia.

The incident took place in broad daylight and the local people condemned the lady cop for her unscrupulous act. The drunken lady police official, on the other hand, requested the journalists, who had reached the spot upon getting the information, not to make a video of her.

Meanwhile, at the instructions of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Assam police and the state Transport Department officials continue a drive against drink and drive and have been imposing penalties on those who violated the relevant laws.
