Attacking forest workers in Laokhowa…

A forest worker was attacked by a group at laokhowa sanctaury on monday night. A group of smugglers attacted forest worker mohammad Islam on Dhing Shilghat Mathauri while shopping from Garajan market in the evening and going to the workplace Saraihagi forest camp. Forest worker Mohammed Islam was seriously injured in a group attack by five smugglers.

Hearing the screams of the forest worker, the colleagues took the forest worker to Dagaon Primary Health Centre. It may be recalled that the smugglers gang-attacked the lone forest worker on Mathauri for not allowing him to fish smuggled into the bil-canal of Laokhowa Sanctuary.

The forest department has recently lodged a complaint with the Juria police station. Forest workers have been attacked four times in the sanctuary in the past but police have been accused of playing a mysterious role after they booked the police in the case.
