Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said there is some fear among the common man as the covid infection is on the rise once again but no lockdown will be given in Assam if the third wave comes.
Chief minister Sharma told media in Duliyajan on Wednesday that the infection of amikran is on an abnormal rise in the country and this indicates that the third wave of covids will come soon.
Chief minister Sharma said the covid will come in February or March and we are ready to deal with it.
He said, “The number of covid cases is increasing in other parts of the country as well as in Assam. We have to abide by the covid protocol and not the lockdown’.
Stating that lockdown is not a solution, Chief Minister Sharma said, “We have to adapt to the environment. There was no such lockdown during the second wave and not during the third wave. But in some cases there will be restrictions’.
Chief minister Sharma also mentioned that the main aim of the state government is to run life and livelihood in the same way.
