Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner reviews developmental activities of various departments
Dr MS Lakshmi Priya, Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon reviewed developmental activities of the Education Department, Excise, Legal Metrology, Urban Water Supply and land acquisition matters with the officers concerned in the conference hall of the DC’s office on Wednesday.
In presence of Bhaskar Das, District Development Commissioner, Nabajyoti Ojha and Pankaj Chamuah, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Partha Sarathi Jahari, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil)i/c, North Salmara, the Deputy Commissioner discussed with Circle Officers on the land acquisition matter of National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited and Railway and on giving compensation to land owners.
On the other hand, the Deputy Commissioner was satisfied with the increasing amount of revenue under the departments of Transport and Legal Metrology. The Deputy Commissioner asked the Excise Superintendent to follow new techniques in raids at dhabas so that illegal consumption of liquor in public places can be caught red-handed and fines can be collected.
