1 arrested with fake Indian money in Gauripur in Dhubri

A sensational incident of a man with fake Indian money falling into a police trap from Gauripur in Dhubri district has come to light. It is learnt that on the basis of a tip-off, a police team conducted a search of a man in Beparipatti area of Gauripur and recovered fake Indian currency worth Rs 4,650 from the man named Janik Fazlul Hauk, a resident of Tiamari II block area of Gauripur. Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the man along with other accomplices had been smuggling fake Indian money and cattle along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Dhubri district for a long time. Police have already registered a case number 33/2022 at Gauripur police station and initiated an investigation process.
