January 16, 2021. The process of providing corona vaccine has started in India from this day. The Centre and the state government had first arranged for the fontline workers and the vaccine to be given to everyone in a phased manner. Vaccination arrangements were made for all above 18 years in the first phase. More than 157 crore vaccinations have been carried out in the country so far.Information about 8 per cent of people still not taking a single vaccine in the country has come to light. The number of people who do not take second dose vaccine in the country is around 31 per cent. It should be noted that the process of providing vaccines to adolescents in the age groups of 15-18 years started a few days ago is progressing at a rapid pace. So far about 3.25 crore vaccines have been provided at 41 per cent.
Meanwhile the recently launched Booster Doz has been handed over to around 38 lakh people.
