Massive fire in Sonari Chapari…

Four shops were completely destroyed in a major fire at Sonari Chapri intersection under Sonari Sapri police station in Dhakwakhana subdivision on Monday night. According to the incident reports a mysterious fire broke out at the business establishments of Niranjan Miners, Deepti Sutiya, Rajiv Dole and Mukuta Nath located at Sonari Sapri Chari Ali on Monday night. The flames engulfed the entire shop and completely destroyed them around 9.20pm.

Local people witnessed the fire and tried to douse the flames but all the property was burnt in the fire. Four cars of Majuli and Dhakwakhana fire department later went and doused the fire but were not able to recover the items. The cause of the fire is not yet known though it is believed to be an electric short circuit. Property worth over Rs 30 lakh of business establishments are feared to have been burnt in the fire.
