The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Dibrugarh Town Committee on Wednesday staged a sit-in at Marwaripatty, Dibrugarh in protest against unprecedented price rise of essential commodities.(TNL)
The protesters, holding banners and placards, shouted slogans against the BJP-led Central and State governments for failing to curb the price hike. The protesters demanded proactive action to control this inflation.(TNL)
“The BJP-led government has failed to control the unprecedented price rise of essential commodities. The price of fuel must also come down. The people are having a harrowing time due to skyrocketing price rise. The government has committed to work for the people but it has failed miserably in all fronts,” AASU leaders alleged.(TNL)
