IMD predicts more rainfall over Assam in next four days
Guwahati: Assam is expected to experience heavy rain for the next three to four days, as per the India Meteorological Department.
According to the department, along with heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and hailstorms are expected in the state from March 15-18.
It should be noted that the Central Meteorological Department (CMD) recently published data showing a 76% decrease in rainfall in Assam. The rainfall during January-February was about 76 per cent less than normal.
Moreover, there is a 100 per cent decrease in rainfall in several parts of Assam.
Along with Assam, the rainfall has decreased by 53% in Arunachal Pradesh, 99% in Manipur, 99% in Meghalaya, 100% in Mizoram, 99% in Nagaland, and 100% in Tripura.
