One-Day Seminar on Women’s Empowerment Through Agriculture is Hosted by Raahein
Guwahati: Raahein recently hosted a one-day session on the empowerment of women via agriculture at the Diphalu Public Library.
The goal of the seminar was to raise awareness of the role that agriculture plays in the economic empowerment of women and to encourage their involvement in the industry. Thanks to the efforts of the Raahein team and the assistance of numerous partners and volunteers, the event was a big success.
The conference featured a number of distinguished speakers, including Agricultural Development Officer Monindra Saikia, who informed the audience about new opportunities and government initiatives at the state and federal levels. In order to encourage women farmers to work in agriculture, Mr. Saikia underlined the importance of giving them better access to resources and technology. He also discussed a number of government programmes and advantages with the crowd.
Women’s rights in land ownership, access to finance, training and capacity building, and other issues relating to women’s empowerment via agriculture were discussed at the seminar as well. A variety of tools and networking opportunities were also made available to them in order to help the participants develop their talents and make connections with other like-minded people and organisations.
“We are delighted to have organized this seminar on women empowerment through agriculture,” said Dipraz Chakrabarty, the founder of Raahein. “It is essential to promote women’s participation in the agricultural sector to promote their economic empowerment and contribute to the overall development of the country. We hope this event will serve as a catalyst for positive change and inspire more women to take up agriculture as a viable livelihood option.”
