Guwahati: As many as 12 business establishments were entirely gutted in a massive fire that broke out on Thursday at Cachar district of Assam.
The major fire broke out at Bihara Bazar in Silchar of the district.
As per reports, the fire erupted before the locals and businessmen could recognize it.
Reportedly, twelve shops were completely gutted down in the incident.
However, the locals attempted to put out the fire, but the shops were already catching fire one after another.
The fire completely destroyed all of the groceries and goods.
Upon receiving information, fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot.
Later, the fire tenders were able to bring the flames under control after prolonged struggle.
Moreover, the actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
