Guwahati: At least four parsons have been arrested in connection with the murder of Ajit Chetia at Jalukbari of Guwahati.
Ajit Chetia was murdered at his home in Tetelia on April 27, 2022.
The four accused have been identified as Abdul Rashid, Surat Jamal, Rafiqul Islam and Saidur Rahman
Intrestingly, the four criminals also took part in the robbery incident at Chetia’s residence. The heist came to fore after the copes solved the murder case.
As per police officials, the miscreants allegedly robbed many valuable items from Chetia’s residence after murdering him.
Reportedly, many valuable items like TV, laptop, ornaments and inverter battery was recovered by the police officials.
Following a police raid on Rafiqul, Abdul, and Surat’s homes in Baghbor of Barpeta district, the stolen goods were found.
It needs to be noted that the deceased Ajit Chetia was a retired Amtron official.
