2 Assam men go missing in Tamil Nadu & body with severed limbs shared on WhatsApp!
Guwahati: Finding a good job outside of Assam has become a nightmare due to the recent spate of reported missing persons instances.
But a startling event involving two Assamese citizens from Tinsukia who vanished after travelling to Kerela in pursuit of a decent job opportunity has also come to light.
The two persons identified as Juna Aao (39) and Sonu Tanti (40), were the residents of Gakherbheti village under the Talap police outpost in Doomdooma.
According to the details of the incident, on March 18, both young people boarded a train headed for Kerala. But as soon as the train arrived in Tamil Nadu, Juna Aao reportedly passed out. Sonu Tanti called Juna Aao’s family and informed them of his situation after researching his health. A few hours later, Sonu alleged that Juna Aao had lost his sense of equilibrium and was acting irrationally. Around this time, Juna left the train at an unidentified station in Tamil Nadu before they arrived at their destination, and she vanished.
“Sonu continued to travel on the same train, when he contacted his family and said that some unidentified Tamil speaking people approached him and started to thrash him with rods and sticks. Sonu’s mobile then got switched off,” said a family member of Sonu Tanti to the media.
As a picture of Sonu Tanti’s dismembered body was shared with family members via an unknown number on WhatsApp on Friday night, things started to become worse.
“We received a photo of Sonu’s mutilated body shared from an unknown number, the person called us and spoke in Tamil. We were unable to determine what he was trying to say. The same photo has been shared with others in our village. I think they already have the phone book that Sonu was carrying with him,” the relative added.
The family has located Sonu’s body and has asked Talap Police Station for aid.
Further investigations underway.
