Rahul Gandhi On BJP Seeking Apology For His ‘Modi’ Remark: ‘Gandhi Kisi Se Maafi Nahi Maangta’
Guwahati: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke during his first press conference following his exclusion from the Lok Sabha on Saturday.
The 52-year-old politician asserted that the prime minister disqualified him because of his comments regarding the relationship between Gautam Adani and Narendra Modi.
Gandhi was disqualified as a member of the Lok Sabha on March 24, 2023, one day after the Surat court had found him guilty of criminal defamation for his remark about the “Modi surname.”
When asked about BJP leaders’ seeking his apology in connection with the 2019 defamation case, the Congress leader said, “Rahul Gandhi thinks he is not Vir Savarkar. Gandhi kisi se maafi nahi maangta (Gandhi does not apologise to anyone).”
