Rahul Gandhi disqualification: Congress denied permission to hold Satyagraha protest, section 144 imposed at Rajghat

Guwahati: The grand old party of India, the Indian National Congress, launched a day-long Satyagraha on March 26 to express its displeasure with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s exclusion from the Lok Sabha.

The Wayanad MP was disqualified after being found guilty of criminal defamation for his remark against the Modi surname in 2019.

The Satyagraha will begin at 10 am and continue until 5 pm at all state and district headquarters in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statues.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi are participating in the satyagraha at Rajghat in New Delhi.

On March 25, the first press conference after his disqualification, Rahul Gandhi stated that he does not care if he is imprisoned or permanently disqualified for life; He’ll keep talking about “PM Modi’s relationship with Adani.”

Rahul Gandhi said it was time for cooperation and expressed gratitude to the opposition parties for their assistance on the subject of disqualification.

About the Adani issue, Rahul Gandhi claimed he had to deal with exclusion because PM Modi is afraid of his upcoming speech on Adani. ” Rahul Gandhi stated, “I have seen his eyes filled with fear.”
