Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court ordered the Assam Forest Department to submit a report on the demarcation of the borders of the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary in Guwahati within eight weeks, reports emerged on Monday.
Reports claim that the high court mandated that the forest department explicitly name the boundaries in its report, which is due in eight weeks.
It should be noted that the high court requested the forest department to submit a map showing the boundaries of the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary in its own case, which was submitted in 2013.
According to official data, the Survey of India is attempting to define the four borders.
