AAP takes dig at Assam CM ahead of Kejriwal’s visit, highlights civic issues
Guwahati: APP’s state coordinator Dr. Bhaben Choudhury poked fun at state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 28 in advance of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s visit to Assam by listing a few urban issues in Guwahati.
On his personal Twitter account, Choudhury noted that the city’s traffic lights had stopped working and that during the rainy season people were experiencing water logging.
”@himantabiswa Sarma dangoriya, Shri @ArvindKejriwal ji will be visiting #Guwahati I have two major concerns.
I wish there will be no rain, or else it will be pathetic for us to show how people suffer due to water logging. Secondly, most of the city traffic light has stopped working, please look into it immediately or else it will be a matter of shame for everyone,” he tweeted.
Kejriwal who is also the Chief Minister of Delhi would visit Guwahati on April 2, 2023, together with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to enhance their party’s presence in the state.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is in power, has been charged with corruption in the state and accused of frustrating Assamese citizens.
Moreover, AAP has pledged to raise education and healthcare standards in Assam to those of the best nations in the world, elevating India to the top position.
