Kejriwal’s visit to Guwahati: AAP Requests Assam CM Investigate Urban Problems
Guwahati: Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the mayor of Delhi, is scheduled to visit Guwahati soon. The state coordinator for the AAP in Assam, Dr. Bhaben Choudhury has urged Himanta Biswa Sarma to look into some of the issues that urban residents face.
Bhaben Choudhury talked about his main worry, which is that it would be pitiful to demonstrate how the people suffer from water logging if there is a significant amount of rain that day. Choudhury also urged CM Sarma to look into the problem of malfunctioning traffic lights in the city.
Taking to Twitter, Bhaben Choudhury wrote, “@himantabiswa Sarma dangoriya, Shri @ArvindKejriwal ji will be visiting #Guwahati I have two major concerns. 1. I wish there will be no rain, or else it will be pathetic for us to show how people suffer due to water logging. 2. Most of the city traffic light has stopped working, please look into it immediately or else it will be a matter of shame for everyone.”
It should be noted that Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann will travel to Guwahati on April 2 in an effort to boost the party’s influence in the Northeast. AAP is attempting to take root in Assam and the Northeast by taking advantage of a weak opposition.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is now in power, has angered the residents of Assam and the Northeast with its anti-people policies, high-level corruption, and rising inflation, according to a statement from the AAP. AAP is attempting to entrench itself in the position despite the lack of significant opposition in the area.
The press release stated that the AAP is the only party capable of giving the next generation access to facilities on par with the best in the world and elevating India to the top spot in these categories due to its revolutionary changes in Delhi’s health and education sectors.
