Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a woman’s body was found in Nalbari district of Assam.
According to reports, the body of the woman was recovered in the waters of the Baralia River in Baharghat.
The victim has been identified as Munu Lahkar.
Reportedly, Lahkar is a teacher from Lahakpara.
The exact cause of the woman’s death is yet to be ascertained.
Currently, police officials are investigating the reason for her death.
The body was first spotted by the locals after which they informed the police officials.
Upon receiving information, police officials reached the spot and retrieved the body to conduct a preliminary investigation.
However, the police officials are yet to determine the exact cause of death and are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.
The incident has shocked the area, and many people have expressed their shock and sadness over Munu Lahkar’s demise. Many people are mourning the teacher’s unexpected departure because she was well-known and respected in the area.
Anybody with information on the incident is being urged by police to come forward and help with the investigation.
They have promised the public that they will investigate every possibility in order to find out what caused Munu Lahkar’s death and bring those responsible to justice.
