Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly killed her husband with a sharp machete at the residence in Bajali district of Assam.
The incident took place on the previous night.
As per reports, the woman allegedly killed her husband identified as Niranjan Bora with a sharp-edged weapon over a family dispute.
After committing the crime, the accused identified as Junita Bora and her 6-year-old daughter went to Bhawanipur Police Station and surrendered before the police this morning.
The police filed a FIR in relation to the incident and reached at the crime spot to initiate inquiry into it.
The couple had been residing in their in-laws’ home in Bajali for the last ten years since their marriage. Niranjan Bora was a native of Golaghat.
The incident has created a tense situation in the village.
