Guwahati: A Bangladeshi national has been arrested by the Guwahati police for possessing a fake passport at Paltanbazar area of the city on Saturday.
Based on Intelligence inputs, the accused was nabbed from Paltanbazar bus station.
Police also informed, that an agent Was being arrested who allegedly helped the accused in illegally entering the country with a fake passport.
Meanwhile, the identities of the duo is yet to be ascertained.
A case under relevant section of the IPC has been registered by the police.
Notably, an prob into the case has been initiated to unearth for linkages.
