Assam: Morigaon football player Satyajit Bordoloi greeted warmly After winning best player award in Karnataka
Guwahati: Football player Satyajit Bordoloi, 27, of Morigaon Awajari won the best player title while representing Karnataka in the Tournament of The Santosh Trophy which was held in Saudi Arabia. He has since been warmly welcomed back to his village.
Bordoloi, the goalkeeper for Karnataka, won over football fans all across the nation with his outstanding performance in the competition, especially the championship game in which Karnataka defeated Meghalaya to win the trophy.
Although being a talented football player, Bordoloi had to overcome many challenges in order to play for his native Assam. Yet his perseverance and diligent preparation paid off, as he was eventually able to realise his dream of representing Assam.
Bordoloi received a warm reception from numerous party groups and football aficionados upon his return to Aujari, Saranpar, who encouraged him and congratulated him on his accomplishments.
