Assam: Pijush Hazarika claims Congress leader Supriya Shrinate is party’s bootlicker

Guwahati: Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika on April 9 labelled Congress leader Supriya Shrinate a bootlicker of the party in response to Shrinate’s tweet on Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Hazarika responded after Shrinate attacked Sarma and told the latter to stop making hollow threats.

”Himanta ‘Louis Berger’ Sarma, keep your empty threats to yourself. And send me your address – will courier your favorite biscuits to you,” Shrinate tweeted.

Hazarika was upset by her tweet and promptly used his personal account to complain about her bad mouth, claiming that if she runs for office in 2024, she won’t even be able to recover her deposit.

The Assam Minister also advised her to continue abusing Sarma on Twitter because doing so will only serve to his advantage.

”Congressi bootlicker who came third place in her Lok Sabha Election from Maharajganj in 2019, will not even be able to save her deposit if she contests in 2024 due to her foul mouth. So better remain a Twitter troll, the more you abuse us the more we benefit,” Hazarika tweeted.

It needs to be noted that Rahul Gandhi’s tweet about Adani and Rs 20,000 crore marked the beginning of the new Congress against Assam Chief Minister controversy. Five former Congress were referenced by name in the tweet, including Kiran Kumar Reddy and Anil Antony, who recently switched to the BJP.

In response to this tweet, Sarma lashed out at the leader and wrote, “It was our decency to have never asked you, on where have you concealed the proceeds of crime from the Bofors and National Herald Scams.”

“And how you allowed Ottavio Quattrocchi to escape the clutches of Indian justice multiple times. Anyway, we will meet in the Court of Law,” the tweet added.

It wouldn’t be wrong to suggest that Shrinate’s tweet was related to the meeting between the Assam Chief Minister and Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, when it was claimed that some Congress leaders consumed biscuits from the same plate that Pidi, Rahul Gandhi’s dog, was using to consume biscuits.
