Guwahati: An inmate who was serving a life sentence, escaped from the jail premises from Udalguri of Assam during the early hours of Sunday.
The prisoner has been identified as Shyamal Pal.

As per reports, Shyamal was serving a life sentence in a murder case since 2011.
An FIR in the case has been registered at Udalguri Sadar police station and a massive manhunt has been initiated to catch the fugitive.
