Youths from Assam kicked out from AP
Guwahati: The Arunachal Police allegedly kicked out at least 13 youths from Assam who had travelled to Arunachal Pradesh in search of job.
The youths were hired to work at fire services under OIL in the Changlang district. But they were kicked out from the state for no apparent cause.
The incident sparked a protest at Kakopathar in Tinsukia district of Assam.
The road at Dirak Gate has been blocked by protest groups and various organizations in opposition to the claimed eviction.
Reports claim that the team ran in a panic because they were afraid for their lives and left their possessions behind.
The youths’ family have expressed their fear and concern for their safety.
Reports further claimed that the Arunachal Police took no action, which has only served to inflame the protesting parties’ resentment.
